Floating matrix tablets containing ciprofloxacin hydrochloride were prepared by direct compression method using variable concentration of different grade of polymer as a viscosity enhancing agent and sodium bicarbonate as gas generating agent. The physicochemical properties and release characteristics of the developed formulations were assessed. The dissolution data were fitted to five popular release models, which have been described in the literature. The mechanism of drug release from matrix systems was studied by using Higuchi's square root, erosion equation and peppas-Korsmeyer equation, which are often used to describe the drug release behavior from polymeric systems.

BACKGROUND Low back pain has been investigated epidemiologically for many years and its incidence in different occupations has been studied. There are well-established clinical guidelines for the management of low back pain but these provide limited guidance on occupational aspects. Occupations that require prolonged periods of standing have been associated with increased reports of musculoskeletal disorders including low back pain. Previous work has utilized a prospective design of functionally inducing low back pain in previously asymptomatic individuals during a prolonged standing task. Increased trunk and gluteus mediums muscle co-activation has been found in previously asymptomatic individuals who developed pain during standing compared with individuals who did not develop pain.

Nanosponge is a modern category of material and is made up of tiny particles with a narrow cavity of few nanometers. These narrow cavities can be filled with various types of substances. These tiny particles are having a capability due to which it is able to carry both hydrophilic and lipophilic drug substance and can increase the stability of poorly water- soluble drug substance or molecules. Aceclofenac loaded nanosponges was developed and optimized using systematic Quality by Design approach. Firstly, the quality target product profile (QTPP) of nanosponge formulation was defined and critical quality attributes (CQAs) and critical material attributes (CMAs) were screened through risk assessment studies based on fish bone diagram.32 full factorial Box-Behnken design using Design Expert software(version 9.0) was employed to optimize the selected CMAs.Concentration of Concentration of polymer(X1), Stirring Speed(X2) and Stirring time (X3) were selected as independent CMAs. entrapment efficiency (Y1), % Practical yield (Y2) was evaluated as dependant CQAs. Optimized formulation was then evaluated for FTIR, DSC, XRD, Particle size analysis, Zeta potential, SEM. Formulation was also found stable at different storage condition.

Aim: The main aim of the study was to assess the prescribing pattern of drugs used in coronary artery disease patients. Methods: It was a prospective observational study carried out in the cardiology department of a multidisciplinary tertiary care teaching hospital in Kerala. After taking consent and by considering inclusion and exclusion criteria 201 patients were included in the study. Demographic details (sex, age), drugs (name of drug, dose, route of administration, dosage form, and frequency), diagnosis and comorbid conditions of the patients was collected. Utilization of different classes of drugs as well as individual drugs were analyzed and presented as percentage. Results: Total case records of 201 patients were assessed. The most common cardiovascular emergency was found to be MI

Farmers are essential to the nation's economy, yet their efforts are often overlooked. Pesticides can be beneficial when used correctly, but too much can damage the entire crop. Farmers must accept losses if their crops fail, so predicting the harvest outcome is essential. Machine learning algorithms can be used to analyze historical data such as pesticide usage, soil parameters, and crop yields. This project seeks to forecast the harvest outcome and the crop type that should be grown in a given field based on existing data. The prediction will help farmers plan crops and forecast yields before planting. The project uses Random Forest, Decision Tree, Artificial Neural Networks, and Logistic Regression algorithms to compare accuracy and performance and select the best model.

Rapid urbanisation, environmental deterioration, and an increase in the frequency and severity of natural disasters all combine to pose challenges to urban areas. A crucial paradigm for promoting sustainable development has arisen to meet these complexities: resilient urban design and disaster preparation. This study examines the relationship between resilient urban development, disaster preparation, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on Himachal Pradesh (HP). This study aims to shed light on the strategies, policies and practises used in HP to improve urban resilience and disaster preparation in line with the SDGs by drawing on secondary data sources including government papers, academic studies, and international publications. The study investigates important factors that contribute to constructing resilience in HP's urban areas by using a qualitative analytical technique. These factors include land-use planning, infrastructure development, community participation, and governance systems. The results of the study emphasise how important it is to include disaster risk reduction and sustainable development concerns in urban planning procedures. The research emphasises HP's efforts in creating and putting into action resilient infrastructure projects, disaster planning and response community-based programmes, and disaster risk reduction techniques. The study provides information about the policy implications for local and regional authorities, urban planners, and disaster management organisations as urban centres in HP continue to grow and confront rising environmental threats. The research highlights the need for comprehensive, multidisciplinary methods that prioritise risk reduction, environmental sustainability, and inclusive urban development. Through this thorough study, the research advances the conversation on developing resilient urban settings that not only lessen the effects of disasters but also move society closer to the larger goal of sustainable development, which is encompassed by the SDGs.

Two phase flow in micro-channels is a complex phenomenon that plays a pivotal role in the performance and efficiency of many micro-scale devices and systems. This study investigates the behavior of two-phase flows, typically involving combinations of gases and liquids, within micro-channel geometries. The objective is to gain insights into the fundamental mechanisms governing these flows and to enhance our understanding of their implications for practical applications. The study employs advanced experimental techniques and numerical simulations to explore various aspects of two-phase flow in micro-channels. The main challenge preventing the use of micro-channels for cooling microelectronic equipment is the uneven distribution of flow and temperature. In this study, the interrupted micro-channel's structure is enhanced through numerical simulation, which couples the Level-Set (LS) and Volume of Fluid (VOF) methods to quantify the new micro-channel's two-phase properties using fluctuations in pressure drop, relative standard deviations, and gas-liquid flow ratios.
